The General Services Administration has changed its focus to the region’s suburbs and picked three finalist sites based on things like how well they serve the FBI’s mission, how easy they are to get to by public transportation, and how well they promote racial equality. The three sites are in Fairfax County, Maryland’s Prince George’s County, and the District of Columbia. The agency is expected to make a final decision in the coming weeks.
