Television sitcom ‘Married… With Children’ is reportedly ready to return with an animated series, which will feature the original cast. According to the Washington Examiner, Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino are all set to reprise their roles as members of the Bundy family. However, the series has yet to be picked up by a network or streaming provider.
The show never broke any ratings records while on the air, but it has remained a fan favorite since moving to home media and syndication. During its original 11-season run from 1987 to 1997, the Fox show captivated fans and frequently stirred controversy due to its crude humor and plots. The new animated version will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and written by Alex Carter, a co-executive producer on Family Guy who will also serve as executive producer and showrunner.
