In a recall of some of its moisturizing products, Jergens has revealed more lot numbers that may contain a pathogen that is potentially harmful to persons with compromised immune systems.
According to Kao USA Inc., the recall is for particular lots of 3-ounce and 10-ounce bottles of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer with specified codes.
The company found the bacteria, Pluralibacter gergoviae, in some of their products which typically poses little risk to healthy people.
It said, “However, people who have certain health problems such as weakened immune systems may be more susceptible to infections.”
The 3-ounce bottles have UPC 019100109971 for single bottles and 019100267114 for a three-pack. One of these lot codes with the prefix “ZU” will be on the back of the bottle in black.
There were originally seven lot numbers. The FDA added the two bolder lot numbers on Wednesday.

The 10-ounce bottles will have UPC 01910010998 and one of the following “ZU” codes.
