A naturopathic doctor in Napa, California, has admitted that she issued fake immunization records for both childhood inoculations and the Moderna covid vaccine. She also admitted to prescribing homeoprophylaxis immunization pellets that she claimed would provide lifelong immunity from the coronavirus.
Juli Mazi, 41, has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of making false statements related to health care matters.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie M. Hinds said, “Mazi made profits by selling false immunization cards she knew would be used to mislead schools into believing students had been immunized from childhood illnesses as required by law. Mazi also sold fake COVID-19 Vaccination Record Cards suggesting she administered the Moderna vaccine to her customers when, in fact, she had not.”
Mazi was caught after the Department of Health and Human Services Office received a tip in April 2021.
She provided over 200 of her patients with instructions on how to fill out the fake CDC covid vaccination cards so they appeared real.
Mazi is expected to be sentenced in July 2022. Her wire fraud charges carry a maximum prison sentence of 20 years while the false statements charge carries a 5 year stance.
