8 States Weigh Legally Defining Male and Female

A 16-year-old from Kansas City, Kansas allegedly experienced difficulty at an airport when her driver’s license correctly identified her as female. This incident has sparked a response from 8 states, including Kansas, that are considering legislation that would prevent gender-confused people from changing their driver’s licenses or birth certificates. Supporters of the bill claim it is in response to parents and others who are uncomfortable with “biological men” or “biological boys” sharing spaces meant for women and girls.

As Associated Press noted, The Republican-controlled Kansas Legislature is looking into a bill that would legally define male and female as it pertains to state law, with at least seven other states considering similar proposals.

Unfortunately, many doctors have launched a crusade against science and even human nature itself, arguing that reproductive anatomy at birth doesn’t always align with strict definitions of sex, and binary views of sexual identity can miss biological nuances. Thus, those doctors and other left-wing activists seen the proposed legislation as an effort to “erase trans people’s legal existence” and “ignore those who are intersex,” according to AP. This type of legislation could have a significant impact on the lives of people experiencing gender confusion, as they will no longer be able to falsify their gender via state backing.
