While surveying the damage left by Hurricane Ian in Florida on Wednesday, President Joe Biden was caught yet again on a hot mic.
This time telling Fort Myers Beach Mayor Ray Murphy, “No one f*cks with a Biden,” to which Murphy responded “Yeah, you’re godd*mn right.”
First lady Jill Biden and the president paid a visit to Fisherman’s Wharf in Fort Myers, where last week’s hurricane Ian wreaked havoc, destroying residences and businesses.
Biden joined Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, telling the community “Today, we have one job and only one job, and that’s to make sure the people in Florida get everything they need to fully thoroughly recover.”
As Florida continues to rebuild after the disaster, Biden extended the federal emergency relief program he first implemented before the storm by 30 days, making it available for 60 days.
Despite their differences, Governor DeSantis made it clear that nothing will stop him from helping Floridians rebuild.
He said, “One of the things that you’re seeing in this response: We are cutting through the bureaucracy. We are cutting through the red tape, and that’s from local government, state government all the way up to the president.”
