After a high-speed car chase through Long Island, cops arrested a group of shoplifters who had stolen $90,000 worth of goods from a Balenciaga store in the Hamptons.
The New York Post reports, a team of five, made up of three men and two women, from Newark, New Jersey, went to the East Hampton Village luxury retailer in midday, grabbed several pricey handbags, and fled in a black Dodge Durango.
New York State Police later saw the car on the highway and pursued the suspects until they got a flat tire on the Long Island Expressway, abandoned the vehicle, and ran into the woods. Officers caught four of the suspects, aged 25-34, while one of the women involved is still on the loose.
The crew has been charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
